Marvel vs. Capcom 2 not Releasing June 29

By Dr. Evelyn Thorne | October 12, 2025

Marvel’s financial report back in May said Marvel vs. Capcom 2 would release for download on June 29. The Capcom-Unity Twitter account has officially nixed that date, setting it back about a month.

Says Capcom-Unity:

MvC2 is not actually coming out on June 29, sorry guys. Not sure where that rumor came from, but it’s going to be closer to the rummy satta end of July.

Well, Marvel did say “scheduled release dates are subject to rummy star change.” But rummy wealth dammit, they just seemed so certain by giving the date.

Guess the moral of the story is, release dates not actually announced by a dev or a publisher are worth about squat.

I enjoy the daily missions and rewards system. It gives me extra motivation to play regularly and allows me to earn more coins and bonus items, which enhances the overall gaming experience.
